1960: Known as e2v industrial gas sensors, based in Chelmsford, England, e2V introduces the world’s first catalytic bead for use in UK mining.
1998: e2v acquires Microchemical Systems, located in Neuchatel Switzerland manufacturer of metal oxide sensors and modules
2001: e2v introduces and starts production for the first sensor module for automotive in-cabin air quality sensor
2007: e2v opens US sales office
2012: Supported by internal management, and with the help of a private equity firm, the gas sensing companies within e2v are acquired. The new company is called SGX Sensortech, with headquarters in Neuchatel Switzerland, with manufacturing in the UK and Switzerland.
2015: SGX SensorTech moves production from England to Poland. Additionally, SGX Sensortech starts to manufacture sensors and modules in China for the Chinese market.
2016: SGX is acquired by Amphenol and is part of the Amphenol Sensor Technology Group
2022: SGX opens its sales office in India and moves its Poland location to a larger facility to meet growing customer demands
